“Who cooks for you?” is the classic call of the barred owl that’s hard to miss. I stumbled upon this owl in a large mature forest along a walking trail at Lemoine Point Nature Reserve, on the shores of Lake Ontario.

Marj’s owl landed on her cedar rail fence in the backyard, waiting to be seen outside of the forest. This northern saw-whet owl was so cute peeking at the camera and showing off it’s soft feathered pattern.
